We have seen developments in the fintech landscape in Sub-Saharan Africa in recent years with the innovative solutions and services fintech providers are deploying aiding acceleration of Africa’s financial inclusion. For the past two years, I am actively engaged in building Africa’s Digital Financial inclusion future, by enabling access to digital mobile financial services, such as micro-loans, micro-insurance, savings management and more.
Before that, I founded a digital loyalty & marketing solution start-up. I also sit on advisory boards of two startups, one offering courier service on demand, while the other is Re-inventing Public Transportation.
I am assisting UNICEF Startup Lab which is a co-creation space and incubator in Accra in partnership with MeltWater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST). We aim to actively engage young startups in the development of innovative, open-source, market-driven products and solutions that help address complex problems impacting the well-being of children and young people, especially the most vulnerable.
I am passionate about coaching the youth and I usually participate in Career Coaching programs, trying to help raising the next generation of leaders in Africa.
I have also previously held leading technology and innovation roles at leading African mobile operators for 15 years. In my various positions, I championed the implementation of vital strategic programs including managed services transformation, customer experience management strategies, 4G & 4G+ rollout, cybersecurity strategies and mobile financial services deployment. I also served on several management committees including Revenue Assurance, Risk & Business Continuity Management. I was also recognized as pioneer executive for the enormous support and leadership skills shown in motivating my team.
